YEQIN Fabric Sampler Cutter for Cloth Device Weight Instrument
Category: silberschnitt circle cutter
This GSM Cutter Lab is a reliable and easy-to-use tool for obtaining samples of all types of sheet material. To use it, simply place the specialty cutter onto the material atop the cutting mat, release the safety lock, apply light pressure, and give the ergonomically designed hand wheel a quarter-turn. This will provide you with a sample piece of exactly 100cm², which can then be weighed to easily calculate the grams per square meter.
The GSM Cutter has been engineered with a heavy-duty design specifically to cut through multiple layers efficiently. Precision manufacturing ensures that your samples are perfectly circular with smooth edges, allowing you to easily cut through thick fabric and other tough substances.
One of the key features of this cutter is the DOUBLE-EDGE BLADES. These blades are accommodated and reversible, allowing for continuous cutting and longer life. This, in turn, enables you to calculate the weight per square meter with a high degree of accuracy, thanks to the precisely defined cutting area.
To use the GSM Cutter, first place the tile that needs to be cut on the rubber mat fabric. Then, position the disc sampler on the fabric, pull the locking device on the sampler, and rotate it about 90 degrees. Hold the cover with one hand, and use the other hand to grip the corrugated hand wheel. Apply a certain amount of pressure and then rotate the hand wheel clockwise (at an angle greater than 90 degrees). This will result in a clean, circular cut sample.
The structure and adjustment of the GSM Cutter are also noteworthy. The double-blade cutter blade consists of a total of four pieces, each forming a circular external quarter-section. These blades can be easily replaced by loosening the Phillips screws (four screws on each piece), removing the blade plate, and inserting a new blade. When replacing the blades, ensure that they are arranged in a clockwise tangential orientation, with four incisions made in the same plane. Finally, tighten the Phillips screws to secure the blades.
The bottom of the instrument has ruled nicks, which help to fix the specimens in place, making it easier to cut and preventing the sample from slipping. It's important to note that the knife blades are sharp, so users should avoid placing their hands on the bottom of the instrument to prevent any potential damage.
